Why sugaring is
kinder to the skin
Sugaring uses a simple paste of sugar, lemon and water, applied close to body temperature and removed in the direction of hair growth. It holds onto the hair, not the skin, so there is less redness, less pulling and far fewer ingrown hairs over time. For the areas where wax works better, we use a low-temperature hard wax that sets on the hair and lifts cleanly.
Sugaring and waxing are the two hair removal methods we offer at our Bedford, NH studio, and we welcome clients from Bedford, Goffstown, Manchester and nearby towns. Face appointments take 10 to 15 minutes, body appointments 20 to 45, and every service happens in a private room with fresh paste and a new applicator each time.

Our Brazilian ($70) removes hair from the front, back and everything between, with as much or as little left as you choose. First time? Tell us at booking — we talk you through each step, work in small sections, and keep the room private and unhurried.
Many clients pair a brow wax with a Korean facial or lash extensions, or add our Asian head spa to make it a longer visit. For brows you would rather shape than remove, see permanent makeup.

Most face areas take 10–15 minutes; body areas 20–45 minutes depending on what you book.
A quick skin check
We talk through the area, your skin and anything that may make it more sensitive today, such as retinol or a recent sun day.
Cleanse & prep
The skin is cleansed and lightly powdered so the paste or wax grips the hair, not the skin.
Sugar or wax
Small sections, removed in the direction of growth, with pressure applied right after each pull to keep it comfortable.
Tidy & tweeze
Any stray hairs are tweezed so the finish is even and clean.
Soothe
A calming, fragrance-free lotion finishes the service and settles the skin.
Simple aftercare
You leave with a few easy notes so the results last and the skin stays clear.
How to prepare for
sugaring or waxing
- Let hair grow to about ¼ inch (roughly 2–3 weeks since shaving)
- Exfoliate gently 1–2 days before, not the same day
- Skip retinol, acids and sun exposure on the area for a few days
- Arrive with clean skin and no lotion or oil on the area
- Caffeine can heighten sensitivity, so go easy on it beforehand
Aftercare: how to
avoid ingrown hairs
- Avoid heat, sweat and tight clothing for 24 hours
- No sun, tanning or swimming on the area for 24–48 hours
- Begin gentle exfoliation after 48 hours, 2–3 times a week
- Keep the skin moisturized with a light, fragrance-free lotion
- Rebook every 4–6 weeks for the smoothest, finest regrowth

Less than you expect. Sugaring and hard wax grip the hair rather than the skin, and we work in small sections with firm pressure right after each pull. Most clients say the first visit is the most sensitive and it gets easier each time.
Sugaring is our first choice for sensitive skin, the face, underarms and bikini area. Hard wax is ideal for larger body areas and coarser hair. If you are unsure, tell us at booking and we will decide together.
Typically 3–5 weeks, depending on the area and your hair cycle. With regular visits every 4–6 weeks, regrowth becomes finer and slower.
Yes, although skin can be more sensitive in the days around it. For bikini or Brazilian services, please wear a tampon or cup.
Please wait if you have used Accutane in the last six months, applied retinol or strong acids on the area this week, have a sunburn, or have open skin or an active breakout on the area. Pregnant clients are welcome for most services; let us know when you book.
